Skills For Success

The Government of Canada has maintained a long-term focus on identifying the skills that Canadians need to achieve a high standard of living and to contribute to a healthy economy. Skills for Success is the result of decades of social sciences research into the daily lives and experiences of Canadians.

Skills for Success:

  • are the skills needed to participate and thrive in learning, work, and life;
  • include skills that are foundational for building other skills and knowledge and important for effective social interaction;
  • are inclusive and can be adapted to different contexts.

There are nine Skills for Success that are used in every occupation at varying degrees of complexity:

  • Everyone can benefit from Skills for Success;

  • Individuals assess and enhance their career opportunities and potential for advancement.

Danica is a Programs Coordinator, Skills for Success Practitioner, Relational Skills Trainer, and Career Coach. A Certified Career Development Practitioner, with a Vocational Rehabilitation designation, she is passionate about lifelong learning and upskilling. She empowers others to build skills and career efficacy, fostering success in an evolving workforce.
